Grown in a gallon pot.
Introduced in 1906, this beloved peony is also perhaps the best known. Rich rose-pink, fully-double flowers edged in light-pink with a few petals showing crimson tips. Plants are very robust, floriferous and classically fragrant. Superb mid-season cut-flower. Staking may be needed for the generous and heavy 7" to 8" blooms. If you remember your grandparents or great-grandparents having pink peonies, this is most likely the variety you are remembering. Very popular then, and very popular now. (Lemoine, 1906).
